The Social Justice Team met August 26th to finalize plans for September. Our Congregation will be as busy as bees in the following month with projects that are intended to enrich our neighbor’s lives with fellowship and good will.

September 7th is our day of service “Gods Work Our Hands”.  We will be at the Inasmuch House for Women and Family’s.  There we will be providing some much needed storage in the basement by assembling shelves and helping to fill containers to put on them.  We will also be building a bicycle rack.  While this is going on a group will be entertaining the kids with games, music, art projects, reading centers and more.  The day will be capped of with an Ice Cream Social.

September 28th is the annual Crop Walk downtown Battle Creek.  Registration is at 2 p.m. and the race begins at 3 p.m..  There will be a 1.3 mile walk and a 5K run.  This is a great opportunity to see some friends and make new ones while helping a worthwhile cause.

October 12th Plans are in the works to have a showing of the film “Inequality For All”.  Times and additional information will be provided at a later date.
