INEQUALITY FOR ALL

On Sunday, October 12th, your Social Ministry Team will present the film Inequality For All  at 3:00 p.m.

The 90 minute film details the widening gap between the rich and the poor.  U.C. Berkeley professor Robert Reich explains how economic policy the past thirty years has created an economic gap between the rich and the poor, where the richest Americans now own more wealth than the bottom 150 million combined.

Judith Niebuer of Germany’s Collogne Institute of Economic Research, in her analysis about inequality, found that the United States has the most people in denial about the inequality they live amid.

The Social Ministry Team has identified three areas for discussion: (1) Does inequality exist? (2) What policies were put in place that caused inequality (3) What can we do as individuals or as a congregation to improve the conditions that caused the inequality?

A short discussion and refreshments will follow the film.
